Bachelor specially laborer are not allowed in corniche during fridays. Friday is the only day for the laborer, but the authorities prohibit them bcoz according to them its a family day. A family can go everyday, laborer cannot. Are you favor in this system?

It affects a very large percentage of the population. Friday is the only day where most people would seek and try to find something worth their time to shy away from boredome and stress from a week-long work. Recreation and sports is quite essential for families and for INDIVIDUALS as well.

This very large percentage helps build the nation and you definitely get to see these people everywhere. Where's fairness and equality? Is this racism?

They are allowed down the stinky end near the Museum of Islamic Art, but usually they get banned from hanging out near Al Bidda Park, and many locals complain when they go near the Shearton park.

By the way - Bachelor means labourer, not single man.

Bachelors are banned on the Corniche between the Sheraton and the Marina.

The government is currently building a new enclosure for the bachelors so they can run and frolic in their natural habitat, away from the prying eyes of their human masters.

The new enslosure will mimic as closely as possible their original lands. There is also a plan to sell tickets so that families can view, from a safe distance, bachelors. This will help women and children to learn about the sub human species that provides nothing but a burden to the Qatari economy. It will also help to dispell the myth that bachelors are human beings who deserve to be treated equally.

To paraphrase a famous quotation - "all muslims are the same under allah, but some muslims are more equal than others"

Think its because of qatari women complaining of being leched at, etc.

Simple Answer it is aparthide.

This is a system of government that segregates people depending on the colour of their skin or race. Usually the way a minority, rich and reasonably educated peoples control another larger, poorer, badly educated group.

I had no idea that bachelors were not allowed on the Corniche Fridays. How do they know whether you are a bachelor or a married man alone?

May be they could go on other days in the evening,

respective companies taking care of them could arrange for the same.Even the corniche on other day evenings.

Huh! Since when? I go for a walk from Ras Abu Abood to the Dhow Harbour most Friday mornings and see hundreds of bachelors. Maybe that's a 'less desirable' part of the Corniche?

Not to mention a family day but it is a day for every one living in Qatar as friday for many is the only day for a holiday.. But u see if bachelors are allowed at corniche then the the crowd is so huge that there will be no place for the families to hang around not just in corniche but in many places...I think atleast the govt should allot some other places for the bachelors as more than the family they need to relax & njoy as they are away from their family members to get rid of their loneliness. Every one needs consideration.
