Experience here taught me that they DO help when you have problems.
Don't expect help from women though as its not safe for them to stop and offer assistance.
Yes people do help here...
It was before.. now, no one have time for anything. But, not many, some of them are always gives a helping hand. Especially the nationalities.
Maybe expatriates don't. Qataris do! At least, that is my experience over the last 15 years here.
