Quality Engineer Salary

I am Indian Engineer with 10 years of experience and recently I got an offer to work at Qatar. They had given an offer no contract given as 2500 USD net per month + free food & accomondation and Transportation + yearly 2 tickets to go to home nation with 15 days leave.

Is it a good offer or I have again start negotiating. So far I have not negotiated. I have got some certifcation from British Standards Institution as Lead Auditor & from DNV.Presently doing Six Sigma. I had already worked abroad for 2 years. I am new to Qatar.

So dear members could you please advice me on this?.

Cheers

zoro4zena, he's talking about 2500USD per month.it is different than 3500QR or SR(??!) as in your other post.

I think it is still room for negotiation. Your decission.

Dear ,

I think that's a very low offer for a person who possesses a decade of exp... so you should negotiate with them ... committed to get what u desire

Dear Mr. Header,

Thanks alot for your reply and comments.I think budget might be the constraint for the MNC firm and since this is a short term project. I think there is no point going to negotiate more on salary. The project is also a unique type on which rarely one get exposure.I am not comparing myself to a Secretary since people holding those positions play different roles in an organization.

Once again thanks alot dear friend for your suggestion.

Cheers

As a QA Engineer you should know your value, you should appraise you self.. The question you have post here is directly opposite from information you had given, in my opinion as I am also a QA/QC Engineer working here in Qatar, we are the only person can give proper appraisal, then, when we know our value, lets us ask for it, if the company can give, then thats it. Please dont get offended, we should not be compared to a secretary..

Dear Noms,

Thanks alot for the information. I am still single and I think they would be providing shared accomodation( may be one flat 2 guys). But not clear yet since no contract document has been given.Contract period they had told is 1 year. Planning to get married soon after 2 months.

I got 3913 usd /month+ fully furnished free accomodation+transportation+ annually 2 tickets ( every 6 months to home country). But that was with one of the top 5 construcion firm in the world and was about 3 years back.

Presently my experience also got increased and I possess certification from Institute in UK too.

So how to got about it?. Are they recruiters keep low offer due to small job or deliberately keeping low offer?

So I look forward for some more suggestions on this matter.

Cheers

Hi Jack,

Sould you be provided with family accomodation, transport & tickets yearly, you should also negotiate for a medical assistance & children education assistance.

Your salary based on ur experience can go a bit higher, try negotiating. USD 3K atleast sounds alright.

Thanks friends for your helping hand in the matter. I will negotiate with officials. Some people (recruiters) are treating one as fresher even if he gained substantial experiences in the field in which

they are working.

If you got some more suggestions please let me know.

Thanks once again.

Cheers

This is kinda low for your years of experience... I know a secretary ( she's got huge jugs tho ) who answers the phone all day and gets 3500 USD + accomodation $ a month...

with your qualifications and job experiences...you yourself should know how much you're salary would be worth...if you think you are not comfortable and won't be happy with the salary offered to you? then go ahead and negotiate...goodluck...
