How much salry should i ask

Hi all,



I have got a job call from a reputed IT company of Qatar which is in helatcare,education and goverment services. The position is datacenter operation Engineer and profile is of 24*7 support.   and  my my client would be a Goverment company but i would be an employee of that IT  company. i am having around 5 years of experince in IT (Currently working in India)  and having good knowledge of IT infra system and support so can someone tell how much salary and benefits i should ask. and what all things i should avoid during the interview with client. Plz tell me the Do's and Dont's of the interview



Plz help me on this ASAP

Thnaks buddy.  I believe you are also in   a IT  job so tell how much i should ask to them they are going to align me with a goverment coampany.  and its a 24*7 support job for datacenter support.  nasic work is server Monitoring  and Troubleshooting.

sorry 4K upwards you will get a studio, a decent 1BHK should be above 5K to 5.5K

First clarify, whether they are going to give you HRA or they are going to give you a accomodation.In case they say that they are giving you HRA then know that a decnet 1BHK will cost you 4K upward, depending on the area.So make sure that when they give you the salary you look at the salary and the HRA differently and do not mix them together, because unlike in your home country you will have to use your HRA here coz you do not have a house here.And make sure what salary they are paying you, don't get sold for the idea of a 'attractive salary', what may be attractive for them may not be attrictive to you.

When i got the first mail from them they asked how much you are expecting i said 2000 US$ then they arranged my interview during that interview they gave me clue that they will pay attractive salary. yet salry has not been discused beaacuse they will discus it in the last round i think. BUT i think 2000 US$ is less. i have described the profile in my last post so can someone suggest me how much i should ask

actually this is moniroging job monitoring of servers through Hp operation managers as well as racking unracking server, patching adn cabling in datacenter other than that is Troubleshooting server problems upto some extent. and designtation is Operations Engineer. They asked about my maritul status i said i am single. so they said they are paying everythig included in the salary like housing and convaynce. and i do not know about visa status. so tell me how much they can offer and what i should ask. as i am having good expreice in Datacenter operations and monitoring. as well as troubleshooting. please help me out on this.

the original offer is operations Engineer in a datacenter of a govt. company and it is a 2 years contract based job. when i asked about salray they said  they a repaying attractive salary. housing, conveyance and fooding will be included into the salary.  and it is gonna be a 24*7 support job so tell me how much i should ask and wat is gud to accept
