How I can recover my money from the Bank?
The below mentioned problem has not been sovled though I have repeatedly contacted Doha Bank and QIB. Doha Bank inform me it is now QIB's responsibility to find out where this money gone and at the same time QIB inform me it the duty of Doha Bank. Finally, when I tried to convince QIB and asked to check up the hidden camera iamages from where they can trace out where this money has gone they are suggesting to me to go and complaint with police. So, I request to help from those people who have similar experience and got their money back.
PROBLEM
I am an ATM Card Holder of Doha Bank and on 02/05/2012 I tried to withdraw some money (Qrs. 3,500/=) from my account using Doha Bank ATM Card from the ATM of QIB Yarmook Branch. When I tried with the 1st machine it displayed in the screen the "Time is over" after a long pause for my request for the money. Then, I tried with the 2nd machine situated nearby the 1st one and this time I made an enquiry only for the balance. The machine showed the correct balance (Qrs. 3,702/=) and asked any receipt to be printed and when I said NO the machine printed a rceipt and at the same time I got a SMS in my mobile informing us my account has been debited by Qrs. 2,000/=
I had immediaterly taken up this matter with Doha Bank with a written complaint and now, they inform me that this is a successful transaction as per the details they received from QIB and copy of a print they received from the QIB forwaded to me. I still do not know how this amount had been debited from my account since I had not asked for a withdrawal of Qrs. 2,000/=
If anybody had experienced such incident please let me know how they recovered their money and oblig me.
How to deal with such problem:
Make sure you have checked in both the banks with the right persons. Qatar Central Bank helps in solving such cases. But before you should have made all efforts with your bank. Have all your correspondence documents with bank (complaint copy) with you incase needed in future.
Now Goto the QCB website: http://www.qcb.gov.qa/English/ConsumerRelations/Pages/Overview.aspx
and write your complaint.
no need for a writen complaint actually... just call the customer service, b4 24 hrs ends they will credit it back to your account.
