Al Meera Marks its 41st Branch with Muraikh opening
Al Meera Consumer Goods Company (Q.S.C) announced once again the opening of one of its newest branch at Muraikh as part of its expansion strategy to serve all areas in Qatar, making it Al Meera’s 41th branch including the five other outlets opened in Oman. Al Meera Branch is constructed according to international standards to provide a convenient shopping experience for the Qatari community.
The opening ceremony was inaugurated by Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Qahtani, Deputy CEO of Al MeeraConsumer Goods Company with the presence of Mr. Mohammad Abdulla Al Mustafawi Al Hashemi, Board member, as well as other numerous Al Meera and media representatives.
When discussing the expansion strategy, Dr. Mohammed Nasser Al Qahtani, Deputy CEO of Al Meera said:
“In line with the Qatar National Vision 2030, to develop various areas around Qatar, Al Meera continues to apply its motto in being ‘"Your Favourite Neighbourhood Retailer", and answering the residents’ needs in the areas that are witnessing fast expansion by providing them with a unique and convenient shopping experience in each of our branches.”
The 5500 sqm Muraikh branch entails 1200 sqm of supermarket area. The store offers shoppers a wide variety of food and non-food related items as well as fresh products. The store includes a butchery, fishery, delicatessen, fruits and vegetables area and bakery. This branch will entail 19 shops and 4 restaurants, which will be inaugurated soon, in addition to a small playground area for kids.
The new branch ensures to boast state-of-the-art elements, from the high-tech lighting to the storage techniques and technologies. The branch’s world-class shelves highly reflect the company’s keenness to offer the best products display to its customers; good-looking and well-spaced shelves allow customers to shop their items efficiently.
In order to achieve a wider spread that satisfies its customers, Al Meera is inaugurating six other branches this year in Jeryan Nejaima, Thakhira, Al Wakra, Al Thumama, Al Wajba and Rawdat Ekdeem. The aforementioned stores will be opening their doors weeks apart, one after the other.
In addition, Al Meera is currently constructing 14 new shopping centres located in Sailiya North, Bu Sidra, Al Wakra2, Umm Salal, Leabaib 1, Leabaib 2, Rawdat Aba El-Herran, Azghawa, Al Khor, Um Qarn, Rawdat Al Hamama, Jeryan Junaihat, Al Sailiya and Ain Khaled.
Upon completion of the construction works, Al Meera will be ready to open its new branches after obtaining the necessary approvals and licenses from relevant authorities; thus becoming a network of 56 branches spread all over Qatar.
The goal of Al Meera’s expansion is to provide outlets to all consumers wherever they are in Qatar. In parallel, Al Meera continues to rehabilitate its old branches and maintain them to integrate them with the new innovative concept, which is designed by international companies to meet the Qatari market requirements.
