Perfume thieves get six months jail sentence in Qatar
A Doha Criminal Court has sentenced two women to six months in jail for attempts to steal three bottles of perfume worth QR2,060 from a shop at a commercial complex.
Local Arabic daily Arrayah reported that the court has also ordered their deportation upon serving the sentence.
The two women went to the shop accompanied by their mother and seeing that the salesman was busy, they dropped the bottles into their handbags after taking them out of their boxes.
However, shortly after they exited the shop, the salesman discovered the theft and checked the recording of the surveillance camera, which showed the two women hiding the bottles in their handbags.
He immediately informed his supervisor and alerted the police. The women were arrested by the police before they could get out of the shopping complex. Upon searching their bags, the stolen perfume bottles were found. They admitted their guilt eventually during the police investigation. [Gulf Times]

indeed, crime is a crime no matter its minor or major.
but it seems more worst mentality "stealing such minor items".
