The St. Regis Doha announces the Launch of three new Food and Beverage Concepts in the last quarter of 2016

Demonstrating once again the Hotel’s Commitment to diversifying its offerings in Doha

Qatar, Doha: September 20, 2016 –The St. Regis Doha, the finest address in Qatar, continues to grow its impressive concept portfolio with three new outlets due to launch in the last quarter of this year, reaffirming once again the position of the hotel as Doha’s supreme leisure destination.

As part of its commitment to diversifying Doha’s music scene, The St. Regis Doha has announced the opening of its new venue “The Club” on 12th September this year. By offering world-class live music, lively performances and delicious soul food at The Club, music lovers and guests will be able to enjoy a truly unforgettable music experience every Tuesday through to Saturday, as globally renowned artists take to the stage creating an electrifying and buzzing atmosphere every single time.

The Club will cater to a multitude of diverse music genres across Soul, Blues and Bossa Nova and R&B and will feature a roster of world renowned artists including soul vocalist, Judi Jackson; the smooth sound of funk and soul vocalist, Tasha Danae; drummer, Michael Pignéguy; pianist, Davis Whitfield; who will all be joined by tenor saxophonist and seasoned performer, Jonathan Beshay; and seasoned bassist Gilard Lopes. With special appearance for Gregory Generet who will be performing from September 20 –24 and from September 27 until October 1.

Meanwhile, The St. Regis Doha will also debut their latest concept, The Raw Bar. In an intimate dinning setting, with only 11 seats available, The Raw Bar will feature an exquisite menu of sushi, sashimi and seafood including oysters and caviar, with a greater emphasis on fresh, raw food. The Raw Bar is expected to open its doors on October 1st this year.

Rounding out the list of new concepts will be Oyster Bay Live which will be presenting La Noche de Doha and will launch on Wednesday, September 21; to be open every Tuesday to Saturday from sunset until late. With a new Cuban band playing crowd-favourites and signature music styles including rhumba, Afro-Cuban jazz, salsa, soukous as well as Spanish fusion genres, guests can look forward to relaxing at the beach side bar, with lounge music, authentic Cuban treats and refreshing drinks by the pool all as the sun goes down as the temperature at Oyster Bay rises. The artists who bring their magic to La Noche de Doha presently are Gerardo Contino and Jenny Sotolongo on Vocals, Axel Tosca on the Keyboard, Israel Cedano on Bass & Yusnier Bustamante on Conga Drums.

In collaboration with Café Mambo Ibiza, the Rooftop will bring one international DJ per month starting on 22nd September, 2016 and featuring John Jacobsen. The Rooftop will also offer House Music on Thursday and Retro night on Friday with Retrofusion Nights. Every Saturday, guests will celebrate the weekend at The Rooftop with Aperiparty Nights, the perfect place in town to sip on signature cocktails while listening to fresh beats by the Resident DJ, DJ Tiero. To celebrate the collaboration with Café Mambo Ibiza, the Rooftop will hold its Grand Opening party on 22nd September, 2016.

Moreover, guests can now enjoy a revamped menu at Astor Grill featuring dry aged meat, a selection of prime cuts featuring Australian T-bone and Wagyu Tomahawk and American Ribeye available only at the St. Regis Doha. Considered the finest meat in town, these cuts have been selected and aged to tender perfection for more than 21 days in a private humidity-controlled dry aging cabinet at the hotel to preserve the concentration and saturation of the natural flavour and the tenderization of the meat texture.
