Do you live in Qatar? Be a tourist and win some cool prizes!
The Qatar Tourism Authority has set up life-sized photo frames at eight prominent landmarks around the country.
The initiative, which is part of a social media competition for the 2016 World Tourism Day, will run from today until October 1.
Qatar residents can take pictures of themselves with the frame and upload it onto social media with the hashtags #WTD2016 and #ShowcaseQatar.
There are some attractive prizes involved, including a weekend stay at one of Qatar’s best five-star hotels.
The eight landmarks where the life-size photo frames have been installed are —
(a) Museum of Islamic Art (MIA)
(b) East-West/West-East art installation at the Brouq Nature Reserve near Zekreet
(c) Katara Cultural Village
(d) Al Zubarah Fort
(e) Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum
(f) Souq Waqif
(g) Imam Mohamed ibn Abd Al Wahhab (Grand) Mosque
(h) Aspire Zone.
