Any english interactive gatherings?

Hi! I'm an expat; a housewife, and have just moved here few months back and was wondering if there are any gatherings/interactive sessions (in english please!) that are provided around here? It would be really nice to talk to or make some friends beyond these 4 walls of my apartment. I haven't met anyone (ladies please!) who can converse well in english and it is driving me abit insane thinking I haven't been networking or having myself familiar around here. Any tips or opinions are welcome! Thanks :)
