Its blend of polyester, nylon, and elasticine is designed to pull moisture away from the skin so it can evaporate, but retain its elastic properties so it will bend and move with you while you're working out. There's a waterproof sleeve for your iPod, right under the waist and feed holes for your iPod headphones or earbuds that keep the cable protected, the earbuds in your ears, and all of it out of the way while you're running.
