Tip: Dropped Wireless Connection
Do you have a problem with your notebook dropping its wireless connection?
One cause might be because Windows shuts down the power to your adapter.
In an effort to conserve power, the notebook will power down the network interface card (NIC); this will then cause the connection to drop. If you turn off this feature, you can stop unwanted interruptions in your Internet connections.
To fix this go to Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > Network Adapters. Expand the category and right-click on your wireless card or chipset to access its Properties dialog box.
Uncheck the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power box.
Hope this helps.
