Once upon a time Palm was a pioneer of the PDA. Everyone had or wanted a Palm. I had a Palm V. But the advent of smartphones really socked it to Palm.
Now it has announced the imminent launch of the Palm Folio.

The device has a 10-inch widescreen display, a full-size keyboard and is intended to be used in conjunction with your smartphone, with any edits to documents made on one device automatically appearing on the other via Bluetooth. Other specs include Wi-Fi. $500 and scheduled for a summer release.

I'm really struggling here. What is the point? It looks like an ultra-portable notebook and is sized like one but that doesn't make me want to carry it with my P990.
