INDIAN ISLAMIC YOUTH CONVENTION : 2010 Today at 07:30 PM at FANAR
-: RUSH TOWARDS ALLAH :-
The Ummah & the importance of Youth.
In every phase of human history, youth have played a central role in the establishment of a society's social system. Youth have always been the real spirit and strength of innovation, be it spiritual, religious, communist, or capitalist.
Muslim youth today must realize the importance of their role in society, and should contribute selflessly to the advancement of the Muslim Ummah. In a hadith, the Prophet said that among the things for which every person will be held accountable on the Day of Judgment is his/her youth and how he/she spent it. Muslim youth should therefore rise to the occasion and shoulder their responsibilities towards their community. They must also have the courage and foresight to help shape the future of the Muslim Ummah.
So dear friend! Realize your value and importance. The future of the Ummah lies in your hands.
An analytic view of our society in general and youth in particular presents a mixed picture. On one hand, we see that Muslim youth have been able to exhibit their talents to the world. They are playing leadership role in many Mulitnational Corporations. In the fields of IT and academics also they have been able to be among the top. Time and again they have proved to the world they are second to none.
On the other hand, their relationship with Allah seems to be delicate and weak. Our priorities are changed. In the course of striving to achieve these objectives that we have set for ourselves, we forget pleasing Allah, the creator of this universe and lord of Mankind. We spend years developing the knowledge and skills needed to boast our careers but attach no importance to acquiring knowledge of Deen which will help us achieve a secure a better place in Akhirah.
Dear brother, It is high time, we stop for a moment and sincerely ponder on the following questions?
•Why have we been created and do we have any obligation towards our creator?
•Can we escape Death?
