I understand your concerns and yes I am also not okay with the idea of driving for 18 hrs continously. I am going this time with my wife and daughter only However, just want to share my experience with you, I did go by road last year in Apr 2nd week with my wife, daughter and my parents. It was my first time to drive such a long way and i was also very concerned and had my doubts about safety but alhamdulliah it turned out to be a fantastic experience. I drove alone and took short break every 400 kms or 5 hours. 1st day i drove almost 1000 kms and stayed over night in one of the Sasco rest house they have all the facilities and usually are next to petrol stationn, with restaurants and grocery shops. then 2nd day I started after fajr around 8 am and reached meekat at Zuhr time, took a break and put on my Ihram and reached Haram before Magrib. I am sure if you go by car one time with your frends you will have less concerns about safety.and when you are going to Allah's house he makes it easy for you. May you have a nice and safe journey and Umrah Maqbool inshallah.

Dear

I was actually decided to go Umra with my family by my own car on 22nd March early morning with my one friend for alternate drive sharing. But unfortunately I came to know its quiet risky and sometime unsafe to drive >18hours. If we are travelling bachelers then it will be ok...but with family...if something happend.....So I decided to go with ICF group on 21st March @1300hr and will return Insha Allah on 31st March. 66502702-Ashraf
