BERUIT... GOOD HOLIDAY DESTINANTION...? OR NOT
Dear QL,ers
Im looking to go away for a few days after Ramadan, and wonder wheter any natives of Beruit, or persons who have been there could answer a few questions;
What are the visa requirements for a UK passport holder living in Doha.
Whats the price like on the wallet
Is there a bar scene, so to speak of
My boss went there and told me it was a great place, medderterain feel
Is it pretty free, i.e no probs on your own.
Any decent hotels good 4 star'ish near the action.
I thank you all in advance for your time.
Kind regards Rich
I've been twice and loved it both times. I think both USA & UK passports are treated the same, as I just walked in and got Visit Visa Upon Arrival.
People complain about traffic in Doha, but the traffic in Lebanon is something else! I refused to drive! It's an adventure in itself. 3 lanes will automatically turn illegally into 5 across, and no one pays attention to any painted lines if there are any.
If you're used to Doha prices, you'll be fine budget wise.
I would definately go back again. If you can, try to fly there on MEA Middle East Airlines, it was an awesome experience.
