How do I make phone calls using my Hala sim card abroad? For example in Greece or the UK?

Also can I use GPRS in these countries?

Yes you can . Call up 111 and activate it . Before you leave teh country you will have to recharge your hala for an amount you intend to use it for .

yes, you can use it... you can receive incoming SMS and calls, but it will charge you as well...and you can make outgoing SMS but not calls...

as Darude's advice, make sure you fill it with much credits...

Last time I was in UK I could receive calls and text messages but I could not make calls or send messages.

However, this may have changed now. Best to ask Qtel.

Buying a local card in the visiting country is lot better and recommended that trying to use Hala from Qtel.If you are not aware Qtel will be always hungry to charge you as much as possible in your curious communication possibilities with your Hala outside Qatar.

Yes, u can use them.

Few countries , it wont work as Qtel may not have contract with the network provider in that country.

If u wanna make sure abt any country, just call up 111.

You can use GPRS too.

Whatever service you use from hala abroad, u will get charged double bcoz your using Qtel Via local Network Operator.

Even when someone calls from Qatar to ur hala when ur in Greece, the person too will get charged double.

Its better to buy a local Sim out there!
