I plan to go to Dubai by road with my car next week. Could anybody provide links in QL to earlier questions on this topic regarding procedure, visa requirement, etc. Thanks.

and if you are carrying any parcels for strangers beware!!!!..lots of instances where unsuspecting people have been made drug mules. I have heard of a person who was approached and given a parcel to carry. The unsuspecting passenger thought he was carrying a life saving drug.. it turned out to be drugs and he was arrested and received a sentence,so be aware

You are bit too late if you really want to go to Dubai next week because, regardless of your profession in the passport you will need pre approved Saudi Transit Visa which takes at-least a week to arrange and unfortunately you will have to do this through an agent. Saudi Embassy will not take any personal applications (my experience); they will ask you to contact an agent (the contact numbers are on the wall in the guard room). I got my Saudi Transit through an agent near BMW roundabout opposite Jabri Restaurant Mughlina. The visa is free, hoever; agent will charge you QR125 for each passport.

Goodluck and have a safe trip.

Can you please bring me my laptop back from a friend of mine in Dubai?
