EGYPT TOURIST VISA
Hello,
We are Indian nationals and applied for a Tourist Visa to Egypt in the embassy here at Qatar. It got issued on 24th June. The expiry date is 24th July and validity = 30 days. I am not sure what this means and if someone else knows – kindly please help. Does this mean that we can enter anytime between the 24th of June and 24th of July ? And once we enter we can stay for 30 days? Or does it mean that we must enter and exit before 24th July?
I am very concerned because our flight to Cairo is on the 24th of July – bang on the very day the visa expires. I don’t know why they issued the tourist visa this way especially because they had my detailed itinerary. If God forbid due to a flight issue we get delayed even by a day –would that mean that we cannot enter Cairo?
Thanks,
It is a catch 22 situation. Try to travel a day earlier, will save you a lot of headache.
Call Mummy in Egypy and complain?!
@ Nachu: I have been trying to call them for two days...no one answers the phone! Wonder if those people even come to work :(
@ sfd24: Thanks - that helps :). Btw do you have any idea if due to a flight delay or something if we arrive a day later than the Expiry date - will they send us back or are they more linient and can give us an extension in Cairo itself?
Expiry date is for Entry Only. Within One month, you can travel, & then can stay for one month
why dont u check with egypt embassy itself ?
i would like to go also later on. please share your experience once you come back :)
