Does anyone knows if it is possible to do Umrah by road from Doha. How much time to travel, visa requirements. Is it possible to rent a car and go there. I will appreciate your response.
Thanks

First You should apply Saudi Embassy for Visa thru any of the Hajj and Umrah Agent, I would suggest going by Agent's transport (buses are nice and comfortable) or else it is about 18 hours driving with stoppages for food and prayers intervals, once u cross Salwa border roads are big and road signs will lead u to Makkah straight, but I thinks ur already late for going by ur car now, after Ramadan the Umrah visa is not available until one month after Hajj

good luck

Yes, it is possible to do umrah by road from Doha. You need to have valid visa's before you hit the Qatar border. The journey certainly takes some time. Other than the section between the border and Riyadh it is actually rather pleasant. We did this trip several weeks ago. Started the trip approx 14:00 and got to Riyadh around midnight. Then left Riyadh around 10:00 next day and got to Makkah around 12am.

Just make sure you always stop for fuel when available (no matter how full the tank). Also, take plenty of liquids and munchies for the trip.

First You should apply Saudi Emabssy for Visa thru any of the Hajj and Umrah Agen, Umra Visa is free, although agent will charge for each passport

From Doha around 1400 KM

You can go by Car

Better leave from here Wednesday , then you can reach there for Jumua

Better go with two persons those who can drive

If you are going on Ramdan better do visa process asap, because Saudi embassy will close it soon
