How much money should I have in my bank account in order to be to able to offer visiting the USA for 1-2weeks maximum?

I'm 22 yrs old, a student, and just need to go and see a friend as soon as I possibly could (it's quite urgent)... the amount of money I currently have is 2000QAR.

I believe the money you would need, must cover the maximum living cost (food, accommodation,transportation,etc) per day times the numbers of days you'll be visiting the states. Hope that helps.
