Planning a week to Jordan at Eid holidays by early December. Is the weather too cold to enjoy the tipical tourist activities at Petra, Red Sea and Dead Sea?

Any suggestions on hotel, places of interests for a 7-year old boy ...

Thanks.

Well i went to Jordan last January to see my family. It was freezing, i stayed home for the whole 20 days except for few occasions. temperature was around zero then and it snowed like 3 times while i was there. April and May are awesome months to visit.

Hey there! My g/f and I went to Jordan (Petra, Mt. Nebo, Dead Sea, River Jordan, Jerash) last year, mid-December. It was chilly in Petra, but otherwise pretty nice. A lot of places may require you to walk, so take a jacket and comfy shoes. A backpack with candies and goodies for the young one would be wise- for energy and bribery. :P

We stayed at Le Royale hotel and it was great. Pretty good location and the staff was nice. We loved the breakfast, but we are pretty easy to please. Might be a little pricey...can't remember.

Have fun!

The climate in Jordan is wonderfully chilly in early December. Some years, theres' snow and the others , none. But be prepared for rains and muddy roads.

Petra is extremely cold and shivery when you go through the narrow mountain passages. But if you are on foot, the exercise could warm you up.

Dead sea is not too cold but bathing in the waters is an absolute no no- too cold.

But it is the best weather to visit Jordan.

Enjoy your self and take care.

Mountainous areas will be cold, 10-12 degrees or less, however it’s a pleasant time in Dead Sea, Aqaba, Petra and Rum

Jerash and northern historical places (Ajlon, Um Qais) will be kindda chilly

Hotels in the dead sea area (Kempinski, Moven Pick and Marriott) offer heated pools

Hotels in Aqaba (Moven Pick, Marriott and Intercontinental) also offer heated pools

All above have special kid zones and activities during Eid, but you need to start your booking, probably you will find them sold out

Enjoy the break.. there will lots of things an places to see there
