Hi there,

So i just got all my documents in order to apply for a schengen visa to Germany for a week's visit in the mid of August 12.

My question is can i go ahead and apply for the visa now as i will be taking a long vacation end of this month and returning back in the first week of August 12. I just want to get it done with to avoid any last minute hassles. I was told at the embassy that it would take 3-5 days for the visa.

My travel dates are specifically mentioned in the invitation letter by my host and i have a confirmed ticket for those dates as well.

Secondly, can i also travel to Prague by train holding the same visa?

Appreciate your assistance and any other infor that you may have.

Czech is a Scehngen country so you will be able to travel to Prague with the same visa.
