Visiting Al Wakra without a private car

Hello all,

I will spend some days in Doha next week and I would like to visit the old port and the beach of Al Wakra, maybe on Saturday morning. I don't have my own car so I wonder how to go there.

Is there any bus going there? If I take a cab from Doha, it will take me there? Also, will I find any cab or bus to take me back to Doha?

Why don't you go to Ruwais port at the northern part of Qatar.

Karwa Bus # 109 for going to Wakra.

Don't know, I'm looking for a place relatively easily accessible for sightseeing, that is supposed to be traditional and not modern, such as the west bay and pearl..I just read that Wakra has an old port with dhows and thought it would be interesting to go there..

How much would a taxi take to book for some hours?
