Algeria and Egypt ... PLEASE STOP IT...!

What has happened to these two nations in just three days?

Foreign ministers of both countries accusing the other as traitorous, both governments calling the other side's ambassador to claim against, and people from each country attacking companies and the embassy of the other's?

Right now, I wish if neither team qualified!

Are they out of their minds? Is a football match worth all of this? Come on people... have some sense...!

Ireland was disqualified by a goal scored by the French which should have been disallowed for off-side plus a double hand-ball by Henry... and what did the Irish do about it?

You have to admire even love the Irish after the match congratulating the other side, shaking hands and even hugging the French. They even hugged Terry Henry!

The Irish government requested a rematch which Henry declared was the only fair solution, but that is as far as it goes.

No fights, no ambassador calling, no foreign ministers attacking the other side, none of that has occurred, because it simply isn't worth it. It is only a football match...

THE DAY WE BEGIN TO ACCEPT DEFEAT WITH OPEN MINDS AND HEARTS IS THE DAY WHEN WE LOSE BUT NOT BECOME LOSERS!

SO, PLEASE STOP IT ...

I call on all members to participate to end this in a positive manner... thanks to all.

Why are you surprised?

Their politicians are a demo of the degree of civilization both societies have reached!

The entire thing started because of some rubbish that was stirred up on some ridiculous Algerian day time show, and even then none of it was worth the hype.

The Egyptians lack sportsmanship it would have been a shame had they qualified, and to make matters worse the public masses didn't react as wisely as they should have.

They would spew poison all over forums fighting over who did what, when, where, and why, and how the referee was "supposedly" paid off on both games.

It was just absolutely shocking, and on the other hand the Irish played the game beautifully they totally battled it out that night, and in the end comes Thierry Henry and does that little double handball thing which secured them a victory simply because the referee blew the whistle and failed to see that deceitful little hand do that little number "the little loving tap".

But anyway shortly and surely and despite this blatant act of cheating people went on with their lives without blowing things out of proportion.

how the hell did this turn to terrorism and september 11

it's just a football match for god sake

we've seen much worth in UK and Europe within teams of same country ( which is more shameful and stupid), but surely weren't as high lighted.

Mr. Jackfrost, since your wish is to destroy Arabs, then what the hell you doing in Doha, living out of the tips they hand you. Go back to your country and let those whom you are defending, provide for you a living and secure financial future.

But it's just a Jew tradition to throw a stone in the well they drink from.

P.S: Am not racist, but reading what was written made me feel sick and I had to reply.

One thing I will say those who did that in NY were not muslims and don't represent muslims nor Islam in any way.

While what happened in Gaza came from the official government!

period!

Observer: I'm sorry? Did you just say that Arabs will never make bigger and more destructive bombs than Israel, and that they will never use them on civilians?? What do you think happened in New York City and Washington DC on September 11, 2001?

Jackfrost arab will never make bigger and more destructive bombs than those Isreal make and use on civilians! u r so good at that we saw u in Gaza!

We should not generalize what happened between Egyptians and algerians on all arab cause we saw arab team had smilier matches with absolutely no violence like the world cup qualifiers match which happened here in Doha between Qatar and Bahrain.

And this football violence is found every where lets not forget the UK Hooligans!

What Egypt and Algeria did is shame but we should never generalize!

I think things have been quiet for the past few days.

I hope the situation finally calms down and things go back to what they were before...

At the end, as we say, blood never turns into water... meaning the bonds between these nations will never be broken eventually...

what happened between Egypt & Algeria was not related to the football

the match was just the chance for the problem

finally, after few days all situations will be fine and I think that it will be great behaviour if every one talk about his country problems as there problems everywhere in all the world but it just need judgement to solve it

I think that if you go back to 1973 u will know if the Egyption are smart or not and I think that good people should respect other nations to give respect to themselves

May be what happened is strange but we still Arabian union and we do not ask others to give us there opinion about our intelligence

and thank u for your respect :)
