Crappiest Broadcast in History!
By ace.auteur •
The morons at Al Jazeera responsible for such filthy broadcast quality have a special place in hell! Robbing a precious minute off a 90 min. game is criminal. And they scam everyone into buying their rotten overpriced cards.
I am afraid that AL JAZEERA will soon close down its centre from DOHA coz QL has been flooded with the HARSH/RUDE messages for AL JAZEERA since last week..
ESPN Rocks!
This issue is going to crop up for almost all the games involving the big guns. So far the Argentina and Brazil games have been affected. Lets see if the Spain match gets affected too..
how do you get espn?
Jazeera informed etisalat (UAE service provider) to change their frequency, just in case if it was interfering with the broadcast. Seems etisalat viewers did not face any transmission issues and enjoyed the entire 90minutes of the game. Glitches are normal, and hope jazeera will refund the money to their viewers (as mentioned in the news yesterday)
ace.auteur,
this is what we get when money replaces brains ;)
Here is where experience and established live broadcast infrastructure is critical. ESPN is tops becase it has been doing it for ages...and doing it right. AJ can't hold a candle up to them.
Even the half-time and post-match analysis is such a bore. There should be life, a vibrant discussion, running video analysis of footwork, gameplay, executed and proposed strategy; live shots of the location (inside and outside of the stadium), spot interview with fans..etc...etc. Instead we are stuck with three old gentlemen in a setting that would make you feel it was a funeral after-party.
Spoiled my day at Souk :(
Its been a totally misery watching the World Cup on Al Jazeera as I never know if we're going to be able to get transmission. I daren't invite friends over to watch as it may be a major letdown.
Yes, ESPN working perfectly :)
Welcome to the FAKE channels world :S
Its true, Only Al Jazeera had the signal problem, ESPN works fine.

You just made them happy with another world record ......for "Crappiest Broadcast in History"
