Condolonces to the bereaved families and hope it never happens again...

At least 74 people were killed on Wednesday in fan violence after a football match in the Egyptian city of Port Said, in what FIFA called a “black day for football.”

Most certainly a black day in Egypt. Excruciating pain and anger are extremely mounting. I'm hearing lots of calls now to renounce the "futile" peaceful revolution and resort to violence to restore the lost rights. We're pushed to civil war, no less.

It has become the norm now, once we've made a move ahead towards democracy and the country is tranquil, a blow hits even harder than before.

The harder they try, the more determined we are to gain our unconditional freedom, but at a very expensive cost, too precious.

Egypt is taking its first steps to democracy. There are many influences , both internal and external who are trying to put obstacles in the way.

This wasn't a riot, nor was it hooliganism or act of vandalism! This was an attack plotted by old regime against the unsuspecting Alhly fans and players who ARE out-spoken Anti-SCAF and strong revolutionaries. Right after the game was over, a few hundreds of armed thugs stormed the stadium and attacked the players and their fans. The thugs were implanted on the side of the other team (Almasry) who already won the game 3-1.

The massacre at Port Saied Stadium last night happened in about an hour or so. Security stayed idle throughout. Well plotted, right?

The revolution continues.

It seems that many fans went to the match armed with knives and weapons.. Hope the government takes strong action.
