I highly doubt that there will be no ticket sales in Qatar. Khalifa Stadium seats 50,000 people, so you think 50,000 people are going to come from abroad? Where are they all going to stay?

Somebody @ work told me yesterday that she's getting tickets from the UK & that only two for herself & her spouse & that there will be NO ticket sales in Qatar,i personally don't know how true this info. is,just passing on what i heard, don't shoot the messanger,remember?... :)

no worries Alumnar!...i'm generally pessimistic by nature but i'm pretty sure the tickets will cost a lot less simply because there is no way they're going to sell any significant number of tickets @ that price & that too for an exhibition game...so ya,let's wait till it gets closer to the date...in the meantime, anyone with any info. on ticket sales/availability,if you would be so kind...cheers...

Never buy from these ticket sites unless you're desperate or overloaded with money. My advice is wait for the official local ticket sales.

To give u a better idea, the site is asking £175 to £220 for England v Belarus at Wembley Stadium, London on coming October, whereas you can easily get tickets from the official FA site for £30 to £50.

I remember last year they were asking £3,000 for champions league final ticket in Rome! Someone must be insane to buy it from them.

I reckon the ticket price for England v Brazil in Doha will be somewhere around £50 to £100 (QR300 to QR600). I'm sure the organiser doesn't wish to see the stadium empty. Hope I'm right though.

By Alumnar• 28 Sep 2009 16:07

... whichever the nationality, are not willing to pay that kind of money for a match... and then not even be able to sit with a nice cold beer (after all the screaming I would be doing supporting Brazil... shhhhh don't tell my hubby as he is English! ;))

No offense taken gadarene... sorry if I came through a little harsh... it's my latin temper! ;)

Let's just hope we can all buy cheaper tickets and hold on til closer to the event.

By WitchStix• 28 Sep 2009 13:19
WitchStix

yip - this is a very clever tactic if its true. we all know who will be attending this event now. they obviously dont want the "lowly" ppl there. that includes me :( was so looking forward to it.

anyway, lets home we can get tickets locally for cheaper.

thanks for the link & apologies...no offence meant mate...if you've lived here long enough, you'll know how irritating & untrue the rumour mills can be...what i think is there will be cheaper tix. on sale locally, apart from the ones being offered online plus of course there will be the freebies, sponsors will get x no: of tix, which they will give out to friends/relatives,unless they do something drastically different this time, that's how it'll probably be...a guy foolish enough to pay that kind of money to watch a friendly of no consequence whatsoever will probably be sitting next to a guy who got a free pass...

The tickets are 157,50 English Pounds OR 202,50 English Pounds. That's why I posted approximately 1,500 Riyals. The link I have used to check the tickets was in one of the other posts on this website (another topic) - it gives you the prices in Euros and English Pounds.

Next time gadarene... I don't post unless I checked the link. For you though... let me find the link and post it here. Then you can see for yourself!!!

Tickets on worldticketshop are always ridiculously priced. The ticket price is at least double of the ticket face value in most cases. It's for tourist mainly.

I don't believe it'll be priced at that level.

@ alumnar, please state your link when making such claims mate...reason i ask is,there is a 'parallel' news network in this country, every nationality has a different name for it,for Indians,it's called "lungi news"...to cut a long story short, the news is crap & more importantly, untrue,i.e just rumours spreading from person to person in a small town...
