Good places for real FISHING... Big catches
Hi all, could any one guide me for good places in Qatar for fishing, actually I’m trying to find a good spot from 9 months ago, and the outcome is:
-Wakra… small catches only..
-Al Khour… they closed the sea port there… it was good
-Doha… the corniche is useless..
I didn’t try “khour Al Edeed” yet, is it good? And if yes what kind of 4x4 cars can go there? I heard that its road is so sandy..
Any ideas?
You can try Mesaieed, the areas near the sealine resort. You'll definitely have much better luck than at Wakrah.
Hay guys, I would love to go fishing, maybe if we gather a group and arrange a boat to go offshore it will be more cost effective??
Any one interested? lets gather our thought?
thanks
Any new ideas everybody? I want to go some where this weekend,
Sasa, I'll call you to arrange some thing...
i been to khour elaudaid altos of time but it is not like you think about and the road is really hard not easy ,but unfortunately this was the only place i catch some big fish there , please if you find a nice place let me know I'm looking to go this week end to any place , i try semasmah, elshamal and el khour all the same no luck
wish to hear from you soon

Actually I did it once before using a speed boat from this port, it was nice but some how expensive, 1000 QR for almost 5 hrs of fishing, I think I’m going to rent another one this weekend with some friends,
But the idea that I want to know some good new place from shore to go there at any time without a need to arranging a boat trip. I really want to try this Khour Al Edeed , I heard that it contains a lot of good catch specially Hamour.
i u really want good catsh u must go off shore u can contact some of the ppl in the fishing port located at the end of cornish ..they can advice
Have a goooooood fish

Depend on what's for you a "big catch". The only way to go for a big games is to buy a boat. In al Wakra some time you may catch queen fish (lahla) and baracuda up to 5-6 kilos, but most of the time you'll catch nothing or small gurgukufan or sharry. Receintly I caught there two zargans nearly a metter long each, but it happened for a first time this year. Also it's important what lure you are using, you know. If you are interested you may PM me to exchange more info without boddering the rest of the QLers.
