Liverpool Fans - EPL 2011/12 Season
So to all you Liverpool FC fans out there, what do you make of the start to the season and the chances of making the Champions League. Personally I'm liking the looks of the new additions. Stewart Downing looks the goods, solid at the back now with EnRique (sorry about the spelling). With Gerrard to come back in and a few more games under players belts things are looking good this season at Anfield. Game 1 against Sunderland they should have won that with all the possession, but a great strike from Seb Larsson got the Cats a point. Game 2 against the Gooners, well first goal lucky but a nice build up and flow which got the 2nd, a deserved win as Liverpool were the best team on the day. I honestly can't see Arsenal or Spurs making top 4. Chelsea don't look as good as last season, they def need a creative mid fielder. Man City will be the dark horse, if they get it together they will push Man Utd close for the title.
Good result, finally Liverpools first win at the Emirates Stadium.Yep I hope that they can keep the squad fit and free from suspensions. Plenty of choice for KD on the the bench now.
yep Carroll needs to prove himself, I've liked the look of Downing so far, great run then shot on goal that hit the crossbar last week against the Black Cats...Gerrard still has a good 2-3 years left at least....we have some good depth this year and with no Euro football midweek should be in a good position to push for silverware
I hope liverpool pull their socks up this season... they have an alright squad, I personally think Gerrand is on his way out but you have a couple of really good players in Adams and Henderson, the latter yet to prove himself at the top level. Downing has always looked average lets see how he will perform in a 'top 4' side. As for your forwards, Suarez looks even better each time he plays - he will be a threat to any defence, as for Carroll....lol... well lets reserve judgement shall we.
I think Liverpool have a great chance of pushing the Manchester clubs this season - quality throughout the squad with a terrific midfield (Adam, Henderson, Downing, Gerrard) and Suarez on fire up front - question marks over Carroll and a couple of defenders but deep squad and great Manager. Yeah, why not!!!
thing is last season we had a poor start under Roy Hodgson, early days yet but promising!!
I hope this season will be differentfrankly, I am fed up with the good starts at the begining of the season giving us high hope, then ....
