Man Utd trio possibly joining UAE Clubs

Interesting article in The Sun, Giggs, Neville and Scholes possibly joining UAE clubs. So why if Qatar apparently has so much passion for football, as we are lead to believe in their WC bid do they not try and entice top players here to build a better league. They certainly have the cash to compete with UAE clubs...so maybe this WC bid is for show only and they don't really have a concern with the state of football in Qatar and the Middle East.

By the way I love this comment on the article

"all they have to do is slag united off in 2 or 3 press conferences, theyll get the same amount here..."

Neville is the most likely..

He loves Bling.. Did you see his house in the UK ? Way over the top .... So him and the Mrs would probably fit right in in Dubai :O)

I doubt this story. For this to happen, Neville has to get his head out of Fergie's A55 or with all this technology around, can he kiss his a55 from Dubai?? :(

thats a good point Brit. I think the UAE is far more attractive for footballers looking for that retirement contract late in their careers than Doha...

LOL , No!

I was just giving the example about people loving the lifestyle the UAE offers...

I am surprised about Giggsy, but the other two possibly. The UAE is trying to push into the football area. They always plan for the long term. Al Ahli recently signed Cannavaro. Plus, fotballer will also look to UAE as offering a nice place to live for their families..

Freddie Flintoff has now made UAE his home./..

haven't seen that comment yet! I think the collusion issue with the Spain/Portugal bid won't help, but I'm well documented on this topic that I don't think Qatar will win the bid...purely from a fans perspective I would hate to come here for a big party which is the WC, but thats my personal view....hats off to Qatar for putting a bid in though!!

do you think of LP's comment that Qatar's bid is looking favourable? a rumour i know but frightening it is :0(

The reason I bought up football and Qatar was purely from a football fans perspective...not related I agree but with the bid date closing in is surely topical and part of the bigger picture (or in Qatars case NOT)....but well pointed out Lost...

with your comments by the way, even if the story is a load of crap. Football and Qatar should not be mentioned in the same breath - maybe they have a handful of supporters here but the country is just showcasing its muscles when it comes to 2022 bidding! fanatical football supporters they say! but where are they? I think that may be the reason that they cannot attract any players, who in there right mind would want to play football in this heat infront of a swelling, fanatical crowd of 36??!!?? cash is not an issue i guess! :0)
