Nepal - Everest Base Camp Trek 2013
Hey,
I'm planning on trekking to Everest south base camp next March. I am an experienced hiker/trekker with many hikes and years under my belt but it's time to add Everest to the list.
South Base Camp is in Nepal at an altitude of 5,364 meters (17,598 ft). This trek can usually be done in 10 days depending on the route and experience/acclimatization, we'll need a couple of days before and after the trek so it will be a 2 week trip. Everest base camp is a challenge requiring a certain degree of physical fitness however you don't have to be a marathon runner to make it. Flights to Nepal are really cheap from Doha, its an opportunity you don't want to miss out while you're still in the region.
Everest Base Camp trekking is the most famous trekking route in the world and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of the most breathtaking scenery imaginable. If there is anyone out there that is interested in experiencing the breath-taking scenery and would like to join me on this adventure along with the friendly Sherpa of the Himalayas please contact me so we can plan this trip together.
A rough estimate of the cost would be around 4000-5000 QR including accommodation, guide, porter, food, airline tickets Doha-Kathmandu and back plus transport within Nepal (includes airplane ticket to Lukla mountain airport).
Hope to hear from you soon.
