Qatar coach Lazaroni admits things are tough!
Qatar sacked coach Milovan Rajevac and put in Brazilian Lazaroni (Qatar SC coach) in his place. While the coach knows the players well, he frankly admits it's a tough job on hand for him, especially because Qatar will re-start the qualification campaign for the 2014 World Cup soon.
Here is a small excerpt from the cover story of Doha Stadium Plus. What you guys think?
The QFA, who adjudged Lazaroni as the best coach in Qatar in his debut season (2008-09), would expect him to deliver a similar job. A knowledgeable, experienced and shrewd tactician, Lazaroni, however, faces a race against time to make the players adapt to his style of play before the first match against Bahrain on September 2.
“I was a bit surprised when I got the call because the third round of qualification is so near,” Lazaroni told Doha Stadium Plus.
“It isn’t easy for a coach to study the players in detail in such a short time. The boys too need to quickly understand how I want them to play. Of course, all of them are familiar to me, but I need to fully know their physical condition, characteristics and capabilities,” said the 60-year-old, who coached Brazil at the 1990 World Cup in Italy.

It doesn't help that the guy has a bunch of indisciplined, talentless, spoilt brats making up most of his team with the rest made up of "naturalized" internationals...let's see how long he lasts! although he must be getting paid enough to be able to leave financially fairly better off when they give him the boot sooner or later...
