Sorry waxbrain not finished. She is competing at the Olympics and that's not a Qatari event, it's open to all countries so lots of non qataris will be commentating on her. The fact she is the first female Qatari swimmer, how well she does and yes probably what she wears as well.

Because she is Qatari does not mean you own her, leave her to follow her dreams and you can sit in your villa swearing at the TV if you like.

thanks Mozaismyhero.. I just love sport! its keep us alive. I take as compliment by Waxbrain, hopefully I don't put it much in gender issue. My intention more to an achievement and international recognition. Anyway, ppl will have different perspective. Peace Always!

Swimming is related to Islam now? Support your sister don't judge her or accuse her of betraying any traditions. She is the future.

Why NON-QATARI ppl commenting on this? isn't is strange?

Participation of qatari women in swimming contest is a specific issue related to Qatari Traditions and Islam. We can wish that the women should participate in such things but we cant decide it for Qatar. Anyways, its good but she must keep the dress, qatari traditions, family system and her religion Islam in her mind.

Good for her. It doesn't matter where she comes it's the fact that she took part. An example to Arab women everywhere they can achieve their dreams.
