Just a question... is there anywhere to roller skate or roller blade in Doha? I have looked online and all I see is ice skating which is NOT what I am looking for. I am moving to Doha in September and an avid roller skater, and help would be very much appreciated.
My husband and I are considering moving to Doha and we have a daughter that practises artistic roller skating at a good competition level. She is 7 and she started when she was 4.
Are you able to coach for artistic roller skating?
I am interested in finding a coach for our daughter and maybe we can try to form a little roller artistic skating club.
Hello - I'm interested in a rollerskating too. I've checked the Corniche and it doesn't seem like the perfect place as the floor isn't smooth enough. Anyone tried it there.
I'm also looking for the best place to get the tools from here in Qatar. Wish I brought them from Dubai before coming.
Hi - am interested in Coaching Roller Skating and am looking for info on whom to approach and how to go about getting a rink constructed here in Qatar. Anyone willing to help, please respond.
there's very limited places to do rollerblading/skating here..i dunno why..but if you're already here, u might as well try in corniche..there's a part that u can skate on..i've seen some western maybe americans skating even on the road here in doha..dunno if they'll get into trouble with the police..but anyway, i'm sure u'll gonna find one here..best of luck...
@kingofnothing, what is this aspire zone you speak of? indoors out out? i don't mind improvising, as long as i don't die of heat stroke LOL. and i'd love a skating buddy when i arrive, if you're up for it.
@ghazalz, thanks for the tip on bida park, i'll check it out. as far as ice skating, no thanks... i'm bringing my wheels with me :)
Will i usually go and skate in Aspire Zone , but if you are looking for an area or a location specialized for roller skate you won't find one , you need to improvise same i do.
