Welcome to One of the World’s Most Comprehensive Museum in Qatar Dedicated to Sports
3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum is a member of Qatar Museums. The magnificent museum opened its doors to the public on the 31st of March 2022. Qatar is passionate about sports, be it traditional sports like Arabian horse racing, camel racing, and falconry or contemporary western sports such as football, padel, golf, basketball, and volleyball are widely played. However, football has overwhelmingly become the most popular sport and has become the first Arab country in the world to host the FIFA World Cup 2022.
Abdulla Yousuf Al Mulla, Director of 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum said,
“ We envision the museum as a testament to Qatar’s enormous appetite and enthusiasm for sport and its national ambition for the nation to become more physically active. “
The 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum are attached to the FIFA World Cup 2022 stadium, Khalifa International stadium. The museum is one of the world’s most sophisticated museums dedicated to the sport that includes interactive exhibits, inspiring stories, and fun activities that celebrate sports culture within Qatar and beyond. Qatar Living Properties visited the museum and it was indeed a journey through the history of sports, educational, and interactive at the same time. The museum documents the significance of sports and pays a tribute to the largest sporting events and sporting legends around the world.
We really do not want to give out everything that the museum has to offer. Our verdict is that it is a great place to visit even if you are not a sports fan and it is exciting for both adults and children. It engages in the most amazing ways and each section of the museum is an audiovisual treat. The permanent exhibition is on the seventh floor and on the fifth floor, an aesthetically pleasing cafe, 3-2-1 Cafe awaits you. The Cafe has a terrace that gives spectacular views of the Iconic 2022 building. Worthy of mention is the In - Q gift shop that has numerous items from apparel, and accessories to figurines and souvenirs inspired by sporting legends and most importantly the FIFA World Cup 2022.
