What’s happening with Muntazah Park!?
Rawdat Al Khail Park, popularly known as Al Muntazah Park, is one of the earliest public parks within Doha on C-Ring Road. The park is located in Rawdat Al Khail area which is in the middle of Doha’s densely populated areas: Muntazah and Mansoura.
Unfortunately, the park has been under construction for almost a decade now, according to many residents living in close vicinity. Residents have been eagerly waiting for the park to open, since the Public Works Authority 'Ashghal' has announced major renovations in cooperation with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (Baladiya). It was planned to be open in 2021. The eagerness of the residents can be easily observed as many joggers and walkers are seen around the closed park during the evenings and on less sunny days.
Qatar Living Properties had the chance to talk to one of the lead workers in the park, who informed that the park should be opening to the public in the first week of April 2022. As seen by Qatar Living Properties, the park is abundant with greenery with tall palm trees, and well-kept green areas. Now Al Muntazah Park, like other parks of Qatar, includes modern amenities, sporting facilities, cafés, and children's playgrounds.
Rawdat Al Khail will definitely serve as a green outlet, a place away from the hustle and bustle of the neighboring areas. The park features well-paved cushioned tracks, slightly elevated walking paths, toilets, a children’s play area, and fitness equipment areas.
At the park, a few kiosks and BBQ stations with benches were also spotted. In the near future, the kiosks will be serving as food and snacks points. According to the residents of the area, the park used to be a favorite spot for evening walks or weekend picnics.
The park is great for evening walks and leisure activities as it is beautifully lit at night. The walking and running paths have guiding lights. The trees are also beautifully lit with subtle lighting.
The opening of Rawdat Al Khail Park (Al Muntazah Park) is news that will cheer up the residents of Rawdat Khail, Muntazah, and Mansoura. The new park will offer green space for recreation and leisure for the families living in these areas. The park stands as a great substitute for parks in Corniche. Families will have a park with all the picnic facilities like BBQ stations and more, very near to their homes.
Muntazah and Mansoura are heavily populated with people from different ethnic backgrounds. You will come across a lot of hotels, restaurants, and cafes catering to people of different nationalities. Residential properties in these areas are mostly apartment buildings and very few villas.
