Shay/BP

I read your posts about the Asian Games and thought I'd share with you as well.

I recently secured an offer with DAGOC as a Venue Logistics Coordinator (also a Level 6 position???). I just received final documents last night including my flight information and visa documentation.

I am getting married April 2 and I am scheduled to start work on april 16. So, things are moving quite fast for me right now. Thankfully, my fiance is very supportive and we are both extremely excited for the move.

BP - it sounds as if your process was quite a bit smoother than mine. My first phone interview was January 3. I was contacted nearly two weeks later for a second interview with HR. I did not receive an official offer until February 13. Here we are in March and I have just received confirmation of my travels. But, none the less I am heading over and couldn't be happier about it.

I worked the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City in 2002 and I am looking forward to meeting new people and forming new relationships with co-workers just as I did in Salt Lake. It would be great to hook up with people before we arrive, that way there will be some familiar "faces" in the beginning.

Shay - It sounds like you'll be in Doha quite soon as well. Do you have any indication of when?

As I mentioned, my first day is April 16. So, I'll be right behind you BP.

By the way...my new wife and I will be heading over from the US (California).

See you soon!

Mark
