There seem to be a variety of scenarios for housing and transportation allowances, according to your job grade, marital status and most importantly your job 'location'.

Reading posts on this site, one would think it's total chaos out there, there is no uniformity and there's a new system every day. I do sincerely 'hope' that there are clear corporate guidelines that HR reps understand and apply. Each case seems to be unique and you can't compare.

One thing remains: you have to understand and accept your own contract conditions, and if you don't, keep asking questions to your HR rep.
