Many thanks Aisha for all the info. What about the international schools do they teach Arabic and Islamic studies. Unfortunately even after 4 1/2 yrs of living in Dubai the kids still cannot speak Arabic despite it being "taught" at school. Ironic how my 12 yr old knows more French than Arabic despite learning both languages almost at the same time. I made the mistake of learning classical Arabic in the hope of understanding the Quran but unfortunately I didn't get a chance to practise it as most people speak English:(
