Another reason would be that there are still lead pipelines in use for the water. So it might be (I really don't want to scare you off here) that you suffer from a minor lead poisoning. Loosing hair is one of the first indications of lead poisining. Just an idea... I hope you're not drinking tap water.... Check for that if you are not sure.
