The local met website (thanks, bbb8) is an improvement on the earlier service, mind you. I once spent nearly an hour on the phone ringing the met office, harbour authority, coastguard etc and came away with the impression that no-one knew, or was even faintly inquisitive about, the next day's weather and tides. Even a same-day forecast is an advance on the previous service.
