yep i remember this case ... he kept him alive as long as possible ... and cut him piece by piece ... put him in the freezer ... ate him and fed himself to the guy. I think it took months to finish eating him whole.

i think the argument was regarding that it was the victims right to die so should only be convicted of manslaughter but it failed and got 20 years but has since gone to appeal i think.

There was a somewhat similar case .. but not as gruesome in the UK, R v Brown, 1993 dealing with sado-masachism between two men and whether it could be argued it fitted on the criteria of sexual freedom or not. I think if my memory is correct is on 3:2 maj in the Lords it failed, partly due to the physical harm that occurred to the victim as even consented harm is still punishable.

A bit like the article i was reading a while ago with the guy that tried to kill himself and was imprisoned for 6 months for attempted murder of himself ... LOL ... that shud serve him right and solve his probs! i think this one was in the UAE
