What does funny accents mean? That I cant pronounce properly "ng" or "th" because I dont have these sounds in my language? Could you ever say properly Al Khor (I know that that it is almost impossible for native English speakers due to the absence of "kh" in their language)?
Instead of complaining about Koreans' accent when they speak English one can read some books on the phonetics and learn that they dont have "f", for the sounds "s" and "sh" they use the same letter, for the "r" and "l" another one and all English words ending with a consonant will have a hard "i" at the end.
I've recently learned from my extremely educated Indian friend that most of Indians have a problem pronouncing "f", so now when an Indian guy in the shop asks me "Where prom?" I exactly know what he means.
