My husband was recently rear-ended by a truck. The damage is minimal but there is damage. He called the police and kept the third party on site. When the police arrived they checked the vehicles and told my husband to be on his way. He asked about a report in order to have the vehicle fixed and was told to go away.
Does he now need to go to the police station to get a report. If this is common practice it sucks as he did not take third party details - assuming the police would.
