engineer71 has got pretty right, except that it depends on which project you are on and the hiring time, I got a really good deal because they wanted engineers 2 weeks before Christmas and no one would leave Houston to come to what was percieved to be a clusterf*ck.

Some companies also have EO policy which mandates fair pay to migrant workers as well so shop around, if you are a good E, Insh Allah, you will get a good salary
