Dang thats really sad to hear ur car was cancelled! What car was it & whose fault? LOL. If it was yours you may completely ignore this question.
I've been driving here since past 10 years or so. Thanks to the grace of God, never had a really bad accident. Infact, there was a period of 2-3 years when I was rash, by rash i mean really crazy, driver. Now that I'm married and LITTLE more mature, I just think of those times and reflect... damn what if.... a slight blunt turn or a slight touch of wheel onto the kerb?
As for the cops, well they're always extra kind to women here, no doubt. My wife (well actually when she was single), she did visit the traffic department for car permit renewal & all that and cops there would always be generous in shelling out their phone numbers with a statement, "Please call me if you need 'ANY HELP' in Qatar". We used to have so much laugh over that! Still do at times actually. LOL.
