Acting as a Hong Kong born resident in Qatar, I can tell you not all the Chinese products are in cheap quality.
In fact, many Chinese products are in excellent quality and can work a longer time than brand product - a good example like clothes, toys, watches, etc. The reason why you cannot find such a good Chinese products are mainly on the dealers and the importers.
Please never expect a person can spend USD1 to get USD1+ quality. It is almost not possible in the whole world except the selling enterprises are in bankrput situation to push all the stocks out for cash flow.
Backing to the topic on mobile, I will say the quality will not like European brand so good but it shall be better than some Asian brand product. With a reasonable price to get a max. function on the mobile, why don't you have a try?
