As Egnorance is = No Kowledge
Then it is a blessing as long as you do not know what you do not know.
Once you know what you did not know before that..Then you will know what you did not know and become interested in knowing more ( here I must point out: the more you know the more you become aware of how much you dont know and did not know )...
So for some, Yes it is a blessing not to know and stay egnorent as they will not be able to accept All what they do not know if they knew it.
