Sorry My Friend, it takes ages to get a landline (telephone) in qatar u apply and ur kids might get the luxury to see the qtel guy and ADSL is the 2nd step ;) my advice which is not a good one but thats the only option we got here try to find free to air wifi around ur house or hack emm and use or go near some hotspots and use the free world wifi .... enJoY....!
